The weather on the Costa del Sol on Monday (14th November) brought a sharp reminder that for many places along the Mediterranean coast, November is normally the wettest month of the year.
Sea temperatures are usually slow to change, but a marked upwelling of cold water on Tuesday (26th July) had a dramatic impact on beach temperatures.
The brief hot spell that recently affected the Costa del Sol resulted in Malaga being the hottest place in Europe on Sunday (17th July).
The sea breeze failed on Monday (4th July) and this resulted in the hottest day of the year, so far, for Malaga.
It is often assumed that by the end of June the weather on the Costa del Sol has settled down. This year has proved that that is not always a foregone conclusion.

The last 3 days have shown the variable nature of April weather on the Costa del Sol
Frost and snow make a rare appearance in the Malaga area.
Although the Costa Del Sol is noted for it's pleasant climate, the temperature on the 13th February in Malaga was exceptionally high.
If it rains on the Costa Del Sol it seems to pour.
