Weather in Malaga during June 2009
An extremely dry month with unexceptional temperatures.
Temperatures
The average maximum temperature during June 2009 in Malaga was 26.9 Celsius (80F), and that was very close to the normal for the time of year. The average minimum was 19.5 Celsius (67F), which was slightly above the normal June value.
The highest temperature recorded during the month was 32.3 Celsius (90F) on the 26th, but there were 3 other days, the 15th, 25th and 29th when the temperature rose above 30 Celsius (86F). There were 4 days when the maximum failed to reach 25 Celsius (77F), with the last of these days occurring on the 10th. The coolest day was the 2nd with a high of 20.9 Celsius (70F).
There were many warm nights during June, more especially after mid month. There were 12 nights when the minimum remained above 20 Celsius (68F), including 10 consecutive nights from the 17th. The warmest night was that of the 21st/22nd when the temperature only fell to 21.9 Celsius (72F). No cold nights were reported during June, but on 5 occasions minima were below 18 Celsius (64F). One of these cooler nights was the 27th/28th, but 3 others occurred during the first week, and the lowest minimum, 16.4 Celsius (61F) occurred early on the morning of the 10th.
Sea temperatures rose steadily during June from 19 Celsius (66F) early in the month, to 22 Celsius (72F) during the third week. It briefly reached 23 Celsius (73F) during the final week before an upwelling of cold water brought about a rapid drop to 19 Celsius (66F) on the 27th.
Rain
The total rainfall during June was 0.3 millimetres (0.01 inches) and that was produced from wet fog on the 2nd. Rain was observed on the evening of the 14th but it was barely enough to dampen the ground.

Fresh east to southeast winds blew for a while around mid month, and on the 15th a gust of 29 knots (33mph) was recorded.

Sea fog affected the beach for much of the day on the 2nd, and a small area of fog drifted along the coast, from east to west, during the morning and early afternoon of the 20th.
