Moderate, occasionally fresh, northwesterly winds blew for most of the following fortnight. Thereafter, winds were mainly light or moderate, and although there were some persistent southeasterly winds at the beginning of the third week, and again on the 26th, the usual pattern of late winter winds prevailed with gentle or moderate northwesterly land breezes overnight, giving way in the afternoons to light or gentle onshore southeasterly breezes.
