Weather in Malaga during November 2007
A dry month with temperatures slightly above normal
Temperatures

The average maximum temperature during November 2007 in Malaga was 20 Celsius (68F), and that was nearly 1 degree Celsius (1.8F) above average for the month.  The average minimum was 13 Celsius (55F), almost 2 degrees Celsius (3F.) above normal.

The highest temperature recorded  during the month was 24 Celsius (75F) on the 14th, and although there were 14 days with highs above 20 Celsius (68F), the second highest maximum temperature was only 22 Celsius (72F), this occurring on the 15th. After mid month, the 20th was the only day when the high exceeded 20 Celsius (68F). There were 2 occasions when the afternoon temperature just failed to reach 18 Celsius (64F), but on the 24th the top temperature was only 12.6 Celsius (54.6F).

There were no outstandingly warm nights during November, although a persistent wind off the sea on the 3rd prevented the temperature from falling below 18 Celsius (64F). There were 3 further nights with lows of 15 Celsius (59F) or higher. On 5 out of the last 6 nights the minimum temperature dipped below 10 Celsius (50F), and early on the morning of the 27th the low was close to 8 Celsius (46F).

Sea temperatures were around 20 Celsius at the beginning of the month, slowly falling to 19 Celsius (66F) by mid month, and then down to 17 Celsius (63F) during the last week of November.

Rain

The first 19 days of November were completely dry, and when the rain did arrive on the 20th it was showery with mostly small amounts in Malaga. The wettest day was the 21st with just over 6 millimetres (0.25 inches) falling. Rain only fell on 4 days during the month and the total, 16.5 millimetres (0.6 inches) was less than 20% of the monthly average.

Fortunately, other parts of southern Spain had considerably more rain, although the short time span in which it fell was probably less welcomed. At Malaga Airport, nearly 14 millimetres (0.6 inches) of rain fell on the 21st, and on the same day less than 5 millimetres of rain fell at Granada. However, during the 20th and 21st, Cordoba had nearly 114 millimetres (4.6 inches), Sevilla received 110 millimetres (4.3 inches) and with over 130 millimetres (5.1 inches)  falling at Moron

Thunder

Thunder was not heard in Malaga during the month, but the heavy rain on the 20th and 21st was accompanied by thunder in parts of the north and west of the Province.

Wind

Winds were mainly  gentle, mostly from the northwest overnight and during he mornings, but light and variable or southeast during the afternoons and evenings.  On the 24th, a thoroughly cool and miserable day, the wind was moderate or fresh from the northwest.
