There was only 1 further night when the minimum exceeded 20 Celsius (68F).  On  3 nights the minimum temperature was  below 15 Celsius (59F), with the low of 14 Celsius (57F) on the 26th, a fraction of a degree below the minima recorded on the 24th and 28th.

The total for the month was nearly 16 millimetres (0.6 inches), about 70% below average for October.  Nearly 3 millimetres of rain fell on the 3rd, but the heaviest rain occurred on the 24th when more than 11 millimetres fell. At Malaga Airport 18 millimetres was measured, including 10 millimetres between 2pm and 8pm.

Thunder

Thunder was heard on 4 days. Firstly, late on the evening of the 2nd, with these storms rumbling on into the early hours of the 3rd. Further thunderstorms occurred before dawn on the 16th, and finally there were the storms on the 24th that occurred on and off through much of the evening.

Wind

Winds were generally  light or gentle throughout the month but on both the 22nd and 23rd a moderate or fresh northwesterly persisted for much of the day and night. and helped considerably in producing the 2 warmest days of O[ctober. The usual pattern was a light northwesterly wind during the morning, becoming a light or gently southeasterly during the afternoon, falling flat calm for the evening and much of the night. However, during the last 10 days of the month the northwest wind was more dominant with afternoon breezes mainly light and variable rather than southeasterly.
