From 26th to 28th of March there was no sunshine in the Malaga area and temperatures failed to rise above 14 Celsius (57F). This added to misery caused by the torrential rain and thunderstorms that swept the area and produced much flooding and structural damage. In Malaga, alone, the 3-day rainfall total was nearly 250 mm (10 inches).
