Although the Costa Del Sol is noted for it's pleasant climate, the temperature on the 13th February in Malaga was exceptionally high.

The temperature was already 16 Celsius (61F) at 0900 hours and rising rapidly. The mercury continued to rise, and at Malaga Airport the mid afternoon temperature peaked at 24.4 Celsius (76F). Although exceptionally high for the time of year, it fell just short of the February record of 25 Celsius (77F). The breeze persisted into the evening with the temperature at 2100 hours still nudging 19 Celsius (66F).
Malaga Weather comments The cause of the warmth was a brisk west to northwest wind from the mountains producing a foehn effect along much of the Costa Del Sol, characterised by relative humidity readings below 30%.
