If it rains on the Costa Del Sol it seems to pour.
The rain across Andalucia during the last few days is helping to replenish the reservoirs as well as bringing some much-needed fresh snow to the ski runs of the Sierra Nevada. In the 6 hours up to 0600 hours on 7th February 26 mm (over 1 inch) of rain fell at Malaga Airport.
